Merry Christmas!!
I hope everyone is having a wonderful Christmas day. I know I am.
Here are more of the pictures from Maghen's bridals. I am absolutely in love with these pictures. First, we started out at this amazing house in the woods. Apparently Kelly randomly asked this woman if we could use her house and she agreed. Thank goodness! It was a beautiful house, a perfect setting. Something right out of a Jane Austen movie (which is perfection for me!) It was cloudy, so I helped Kelly with the reflector (I'm used to helping people). It started to sprinkle, so we headed out. Kelly brought this adorable (I think) pink umbrella; they thought it was Peptobismol pink.
We headed to campus to get a few pictures in the cover. By this time, it was freezing. Of course I left the house in capris and short sleeved shirt, not even thinking about a jacket. I couldn't feel my fingers by the end of the shoot... but I had so much fun it was worth it!
Her dress is gorgeous!
She is so cute
I'm irritated my pictures get messed up on the internet. Anyway, it was funny seeing her trying to fit in my tiny car. She looked like a cupcake!
It's funny watching brides try to balance the dress&bouquet. I actually really like this picture, though.
She has the most beautiful brown eyes.
Her ring is gorgeous!!!!
What a beautiful bride.

Maghen's Bridals
You know, it isn't often I get a beautiful bride to photograph. Thankfully, this Saturday, I did. My friend Maghen was the lovely bride to be. She is getting married on January 2nd. I am so glad she is happy and has found someone amazing for her.
This shoot was a blast! I shot with my dear friends Gloria and Kelly Rowe. here are just a few images from the shoot. I just got back from a vacation in Charleston, so they're not all edited.
Merry Christmas everyone!

Melissa + Ryan wedding
I helped Laurie out a few months ago with Melissa and Ryan's wedding. I'd forgotten to post the few images I had from the wedding. Most of the shots I took were on Laurie's camera or memory card.
This was a great wedding. The bride, and everyone else, was very nice. Rock Springs is a lovely place, but horrible for lighting. Flash was a challenge, as the ceiling was really tall and not white. But I made the best of it and helped Laurie and Elizabeth out.

oil lamps
I do like random posts.. such as this one, and several before
We made oil lamps in bible study, like in the parable of the 10 virgins, and I couldn't throw mine away without taking pictures of them.
they were really fun to make, except for the fact that I getting my hands dirty. I'm kind of a nut about things like that. that's why pottery and I didn't mix. anyway, we had this beautiful example of a lamp, straight from Israel. of course ours didn't turn out that well! but still it was fun to see them after drying and then to get to light them. I am so grateful for electricity!!

Maghen's Bridal Shower
I had a good time. The food was great and the games were enjoyable. It helped me learn more about Maghen and Josh. I wish you guys the best of luck!
I'm excited to shoot Maghen's bridals with my friend Kelly later this month!

random fun
I've been a little deprived of subjects, so I've resorted to photographing my cat, clothing, nature, etc. I had a wonderful Thanksgiving break, and I hope you all did too.
Most of my break was spent reading the Killer Angels for my US History class. I found it to be an interesting book, but I'm not much for war novels. I'd definitely recommend it if you're into those types of books, it's quite good. Otherwise, I'll just stick to my classic romances (Jane Austen and the Bronte sisters- my favorites).
My little cat has this black toe on her front paw- I think it's just the cutest thing.
My favorite pair of jeans got its first hole. I thought it was funny- the hole is kinda heart shaped. I had to take a picture of it...
I'm really wishing I had a good macro lens. I'm seriously lens deprived right now. I get so frustrated with my cheap plastic lenses. I'm longing for the Canon 24-105L now. I think once finals are over in January I'm going to start back working at the law office again. I desperately need the money to pay for my photography hobby. As Kelly Rowe would say, this hobby is becoming "unhealthy" because it's so expensive! Most high school students don't have the $ to buy thousand dollar lenses like I want. What can I say, Laurie spoiled me!
